Her great grandfather Pasquale Valentino, was born on August 13, 1885 in Campochiaro, Italy. He emigrated to the United States in August, 1900, worked as a shoemaker and married at age 19 to Maria Carmela Braca. Their son, Joseph Peter Valentino (Jennifer's paternal grandfather) was born on November 25, 1905 in Buffalo, New York. Pasquale and Maria had six children, two boys and four girls. Joseph Peter was the eldest. Joseph Peter married Assunta "Susan" Marie Festa on June 24, 1930. Jennifer's grandparents Joseph and Susie had five children, four boys and one girl. They then had 16 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren to the present day. Joseph passed on April 16, 1955 and Susie passed on April 4 1992.
Our eatery is named for Great Grandparents Pasquale & Maria, Grandpa Joe & Grandma Susie, and Jennifer's parents Joe & Carolyn. It is because of their love of life - of gathering together with family over fine Italian cuisine while enjoying great conversation, love of family and laughter that we welcome you to our restaurant, Valentino's! It is our highest hope that your dining experience at Valentino's Eatery is one that is enjoyable and unforgettable each time you visit us. Buon Appetito! |
